I’ve been documenting my journey on this blog for over 10 years; the marriage process, applying for a Spouse Visa (and multiple subsequent renewals), getting a Malaysian driving licence, and securing Permanent Residence.
A lot has changed in the past decade. Most notably, there’s far more information available online, including the PR Guidelines released by Immigration in September 2025. This should make things smoother for foreign spouses navigating the system today.
Since I will no longer need to make regular visits to Immigration, I won't be keeping up to date with changes to the procedures, so won't be updating the blog.
