Update on Long Term Social Visit Pass (Spouse Visa) - August 2018

A member of the Foreign Spouses Support Group on Facebook (FSSG) has posted useful information on his recent first time application for a Long Term Social Visit Pass. His blog detailing his experiences can be found here:

Also note the current information on the Malaysian Immigration Department website. It still confirms that a pass can be granted for a period of between 6 months and 5 years, although in practice the period you are given may vary.

A checklist of required forms (including some you may download) is on the immigration website here, although this may not be comprehensive and may vary from state to state, so it is best that you check with your local immigration office.
